OUT_OF_ENERGY: why your USDT transfer fails
The transaction reached a block, ran out of energy and reverted. Your USDT is untouched. The burned TRX is not.

Four causes
- No energy and little TRX. Burning costs about — TRX per transfer. Hold less and the transaction dies.
- Less energy than this transfer needs. You took 65,000 and the recipient has never held USDT: creating a balance record costs roughly double.
- Fee limit set too low. It is a ceiling on TRX spend, not an amount. Set below the real cost, it cuts execution off yourself.
- Energy on the wrong address. The sender pays: delegation has to land on the wallet you send USDT from.
The fix, in four moves
- Open your address on Tronscan and read the energy balance.
- Check the recipient: holds USDT — 65,000; does not — 131,000.
- Rent that amount for an hour.
- Raise the fee limit to 30–100 TRX and send again.
In TronLink the fee limit hides in the advanced send settings. Raising it is safe: it is a ceiling, not a charge.
Why not just top up TRX?
That works, and it costs — TRX instead of — TRX. Burning is the network’s emergency rate, not the market price of the resource.

Do I get the burned TRX back?
No. The network executed the code up to the point where the resource ran out, and that work is paid for.
I rented energy and still get the error. Why?

Can this happen on a plain TRX transfer?
